The Union Pacific Depot is located at South Temple and 400 West Salt Lake City, Utah. It is on the west side of downtown Salt Lake City, Utah and was constructed in 1909 by San Pedro, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake Railroad alongside the Oregon Short Line. At the time, the cost was said to be $450,000, which in today’s value is $12,800,000. There is great commuting access to the Union Pacific Depot with the Front Runner access available right at the Depot and also the local UTA TRAX Blue Line, which can be used to commute to other local spots. This timeless Depot dates back the history of the American railroad. It is also on the list of National Register of Historic Places. It was originally called the Union Station. The Union Pacific Depot provides a plethora of entertainment events including The Depot, Blue Goose, Grand Hall, and The 400.
Entertainment at The Depot
The Depot is located at 400 W. South Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Depot is also located right next to the Salt Lake City TRAX rail system so it provides easy commuting access. The Depot has over 17,000 square feet and is located in the reputable landmark of Union Pacific Station. It has four stories and can hold a capacity of 1,200 people. The basement provides dressing rooms and offices that are available for bands playing at the Depot or for dressing up at special events. There is also a music hall that is located on the second and third floors. The venue provides a unique metropolitan vibe with brick walls and modern furnishings.
The Depot is very well known for its concert venue. The musical gigs that take place here cover all types of genre. Blue Goose provides 2,523 square feet of space and can hold a maximum of 200 guests. This breathtaking venue is used for events for small parties. This provides a personal VIP touch and makes guests feel like they are personally catered to. Included in the reservation process is a Social Event Planner who will customize social events.
This Grand Hall is a spacious one of a kind with Hall with 7,225 square feet of classic tile flooring and unique intricate architectural detail and a capacity of 1,000 people. Ideally used for events for large parties. The Grand Hall is an important part of Salt Lake City history and was constructed over 100 years ago in 1908, alongside the Union Pacific Depot construction.
The 400 provides a range from social gatherings to corporate meetings and can hold up to 200 guests with 2,346 square feet. The location is ideal with the front doors open to 400 W and South Temple. The room includes a full-service bar and speakers that are iPod adaptable.
